How do I add to captions that are already showing? Here's what I have for one image
Caption 8.5 Red River Aurora Art White CS2; Canon Matte N ICC Profile; 15 Brightness; -6 Contrast. Image 8.752 x 6.565
I can add information to this caption by going to PSElements. But I'd like to be able to insert new info to the caption on XnView, without having to go back to Elements. Is this possible? Thank you.

Could you clarify how the PSE captions are displayed, if possible by posting an example image?
Note that text added to images in XnView software is not editable, as in the PSE text option, it is 'burned in' to the image.
Edit:
Although text added to an image in XnView software must normally be considered to not be editable, if text is added to an area of uniform colour existing text could be 'erased' by pasting the same background colour over it, and then adding replacement text. That option would be particularly suited to the case of text written on an area outside the image, such as on new canvas added, for example, below an image.

Thank you. Your second paragraph answered my question.
PSE captions are entered in the Elements software under File, File Info, Description and when saved they appear as captions in XnView. I find it a good feature.
