Cannot change Date and Time on some pictures

Hi all, there are times where I am unable to change the date and time of an image.

I click on change date and time and make the necessary changes and click on ok

But nothing was change

Can anyone advice me please

JPG files ?
Create and modification dates ?
Or exif dates ?
Before 1970 ?

Hi, I am having issue editing EXIF: Date Taken and EXIF: Date Modified

but sometimes I am unable to edit File: Created Date and FIle: Date Modified

Also i realised I am using the XNView MP instead of classic

maybe write protected files, or opened in another software ?
or network drive ?
