1.8.3. Information overlay getting lost

In the previous versions it worked flawlessly however now after upgrade to in 1.8.3 when switching between DNG's that adds lots of lag between switching overlay sometimes disappears and have to press hotkey again to enable it.

same problem in 1.8.4? how to reproduce?
