Labeling of thumbnails

I would like to label the thumbnails. I have selected the captions under the menu item Image management thumbnail.
Unfortunately, the selected captions are not displayed.

Can someone please help me?

can you check the parameters ?
Menu : View > View as... > Thumbnails + labels
Settings : Settings > (Thumbnails) Labels ... In this screen, choose the fields you want to display from the list on the right, and move them to the left with the arrow..
Example : IPTC:Caption field. bring it to the left and click OK

Then select a photo, (menu) Metadata > Edit IPTC > enter a caption in the first tab > Write button .
The iptc caption will be displayed as a thumbnail label
