Slideshow - How to play slideshows by folder instead of individual files?

I think this feature is available in XnView Classic, but Classic doesn't support Unicode fonts like emojis, so I can't just use Classic. I'm trying to make a slideshow with MP but it always saves the individual file names, it doesn't use a folder, so every time I add new pictures I have to redo the process of choosing the folder with the files inside. Is there a solution for this?
