Windows 11
When I save some image as jpg to this some folder which I have open in first tab, after clicking on this browser tab I don't have preview on this file, and when in a preview section I click on properties tab, I have info: it is this new file, but no info about estimated quality and wrong info about color space (XnView say 2x2, 1x1, 1x1, but I saved file as 1x1...).
After clicking on other image and again select new file, I have correctly information.
And now, after clicking on this jpeg file and click Edit comment (Ctrl+D), wrote something, I again have disinformation.

I can do it, but it's no matter. You can make test file himself.
Open in browser any image, export as jpg file, and You get the result I described.
Open any jpg with YUV444 and add comment (Ctrl-D), and You get the result I described.
In 1.8.6 no change.

Re: 1.8.5 - Incorrect information displayed after adding a comment and saving a JPEG
you use 'Edit comment' - embedded comment in browser? I've tried with your file but the output file has always estimated quality & 111 subsampling

Yes, I edit comment from browser.
