Scenario:
I have a massive amount of image assets, and most of them are in PSD format. As you know, PSD files are very large in size, with some single files reaching 8GB+. When I first open these directories, the time it takes to generate thumbnails is extremely long.

Desired Improvements:

​1. Increase the number of thumbnail generation threads: For example, allow 10 threads to generate thumbnails simultaneously to speed up the process (this feature already exists in other image asset management software and can be used as a reference).

2. ​Add a pre-generate thumbnails feature: For example, I could choose to let XnView generate all thumbnails for a selected directory during the night. This would avoid generating thumbnails while I’m using the software, which is especially important for new users with large amounts of assets, as it reduces the waiting time for thumbnails during work.

​3. Reuse existing thumbnails: I’ve noticed that thumbnails generated during a search are not reused when accessing the same directory normally, requiring them to be generated again. This wastes the time spent generating them the first time.

In v1.8.6 XnViewMP saves pregenerated thumbs (I have about 1000 Corel images, *.pspimages) in folder, 2.3GB.
