Some Chinese characters in the Categories cannot display?

Dear Developer,

I am running XnView MP 1.8.7. I created many categories, same Chinese and some English. However I found that some of the previous categories named with Chinese became "strange" characters. No all but it seems that some created earlier became "strange"

Please refer to the attached screen capture for the problem.

No. Sorry for not persenting the problem clearly.
'Catalog filter' and Catergories items have the same problem. The 'catalog filter' (left side of the screen cap) shows the bottom of the catalog items, where the Chinese cahaaracters are show correctly. The categories (right side of the screen cap) shows the top of the same catalog items. Those at the top became "strange." I suppose that is Chinese originally and sort to top after it bacame strange characters?

'catalog filter' and 'Categories' behave the same, both have some strange characters at the top of the list.

These categories are created by yourself or when importing metadata?
do you have a file with these embedded categories?
