ICC profile problem [SOLVED]

Post by Pizzacutter »

Hi,
I've got a problem using an ICC profile made using DisplayCAL for my Asus ProArt 24" monitor -- XNView MP can't use it. It is recognized and utilized by Darktable, apparently by browsers like Vivaldi and Firefox as well... but not XNView MP.

This is what I see with the display profile enabled in the Color Management settings (it's one of the ICC test images):

Any other profile works though... I have a few older profiles for the same monitor and they work too.

Important thing to note: I actually have no idea if XNView MP has anything to do with this, maybe it's a DisplayCAL problem, but I don't know where to ask, I'm a bit desperate...

Please see attached zip file - the older one (2024-11-24) should work, but not the newer one (2025-04-17). If anyone could guide me where to look for the problem or what's wrong with the ICC profile I'd be really grateful.

Oh, and here are the test images:

My specs:
- Windows 11 23H2
- Calibrite Display SL
- Asus ProArt PA248QV

Update: This problem is not present on Ubuntu Studio install, so apparently it's Windows specific...

Renaming profile from ...125cdm²... to ...125cdm2... removes the problem.

Thank you so much! I couldn't figure out what was the problem... I noticed it started happening with all new profiles since the beginning of this year and I had no idea what could've changed
