To reproduce, go to Settings - View - High zoom quality - Zoom Out. Set 'bicubic' or 'spline nn' or 'lanczos nn'. In browser select images and use 'Compare' tool (Shift-C). Application will crash.
I use XnView MP installed from Linux DEB 64 bit.
Crash in comare tool, when zoom out interpolation not 'None' or 'Biliniar'
