Question to special *.jng and *.mng images

Post by herb »

Hello Pierre,

I am working with XnViewMP 1.8.8 and also NConvert 7.221_unicode on a Windows 10 system and
I have questions to some *.jng and also *.mng images.
As far as I know these image-types are fully supported.

NConvert works in principle but does not work for some images.
The images I talk about are not corrupted because e.g. IrfanView can open it.

I use NConvert - started from my C++ application - to convert the images to *.jpg files using the following command

Code: Select all

NConvert.exe -half_res -ignore_errors -thumb 1920 1920 -overwrite -out jpeg -o <output>.jpg <image-file>
For the following 3 images I get error messages:
Images: "crazygreen.jng" and "pnglogo.mng"
Error: Don't know how to read this picture (<filename>)
Both images are also not opened with XnViewMP

Image "australia1.mng"
Error: This picture cannot be written using this format (<output-filename>.jpg)
This image can be opened with XnViewMP

Please find attached the 3 images I talk about.

Do I have to use another command to start the conversion?
... or ?

Thanks for your help in advance
Best regards
herb

there was an old plugin for jng (32bits)
And for MNG i've removed the old plugin too, because no more supported
