I think this has been persistent for many many versions and persists with 1.9.2 of XNView MP.
In the browser window, at least when sorted by file name, you can hit a key on the keyboard to jump to the first file starting with that letter. This works for the entire English alphabet... except for the letter 'm'. So to get there, I have to either hit 'L' and scroll down or 'n' and scroll up. the 'm' key works otherwise.

M is shortcut for Show alpha
so, selection will not jump from image with alpha channel

Re: Browser view never jumps to 'm'
That "feature" is stupid as it blocks an entire section of the file list from being accessible like the rest of the list. And such shortcuts are supposed to be mnemonic, there is nothing mnemonic about 'm' being "show alpha'.user0 wrote: Sat Jun 14, 2025 6:47 pm M is shortcut for Show alpha
