Desktop Icon on MAC?
Hi, have just installed on MAC, fairly new to the MAC system and cannot see how to have an icon for XnView, only way I can see to open the app is by going to the download every time, sorry if sounds silly but as I say new to MAC and to this software. Thank You, Russ.
Re: Desktop Icon on MAC?
Hello,
When you installed the program, you likely dragged it into the Applications folder, so you can go there to launch it. That should be on your Dock (likely on the bottom of your Mac screen).
If you really want to have an icon on your desktop:
Click on the Applications folder in the dock, and choose Open in Finder
Then right-click on the XnView icon and pick "Make alias"
You can then drag that icon to your desktop. It will launch the program when you click on it.
You could also drag that alias icon onto the Dock so you can launch from there. Over time you'll figure out what works best for you and how you prefer to organize your programs and files.
