Mouse wheel does not scroll to next image

Hi. In MacOS the latest version of XnView cannot be scrolled to other images with the mouse wheel.
The previous-next file option in Settings does not help either.
It works in Windows. Why was it removed in macOS?

The problem is that when I look at pictures on an external drive, the wheel scrolls the pictures. But if the pictures are on the desktop, it opens one picture and the wheel cannot open the next picture. The same thing doesn't work with the file scroll arrows in the top panel. It works in Windows, but not in MacOS Sequoia (Mac mini M4). The version of XnView is the latest.
