XnView: MP 1.9.2 - 64-bit
OS: Windows 11 - 64-bit
Touchpad wheel gesture scrolls too fast for Thumbnails in Browser.
Effect: Impossible to scroll the Thumbnails with touchpad.
To reproduce:
1. Browse a folder A with many image files (60 or more).
2. Switch to any Thumbnail view.
3. Use the laptop touchpad to scroll.
Actual behaviour (bug): The list of thumbnails scrolls too fast skipping over whole pages.
Expected behaviour: Speed of scrolling should be proportional to the finger movement.
Note: in other lists in XnView and Windows the scrolling works at normal speed,
such as Details view in Browser or the Folders Tree, or the Info properties etc.
A couple of observations:
1. When moving the mouse pointer over the scrollbar, scrolling resumes normal speed.
So maybe the solution is to let the list view pass the mouse events to the scroll bar?
2. I suspect that the problem is that the Thumbnails are so large, that to match the speed
of the other lists, the rate of scrolling should be divided by the ratio of Thumbnails and Details row heights.
Or maybe this can be controlled by a Setting "Thumbnail wheel scroll rate".
