Transparent PNG's don't display correctly in my XnView either.

Not sure what you mean by "colormap" but here's an example of a PNG that won't display correctly http://yestech.com.au/female.png.

Cheers,

8 BPP

Post by Clo »

:) Hello !

- "Colormap" means a picture maxi. 8 BPP (256-colour) for which you can display the palette from the Image Menu >> Edit colormap.
- With other colour-depths, this entry is blurred.

- Except I mistake, I don't think that currently XnView be able to support the transparency for pictures having a greater colour-depth…
- And -alas- the transparency is not supported at all for the icons *.ico

 Kind regards,
Claude

Ok, it's a 32bits. But the mask is only white or black.
Else you can view it by View/Show mask or Combine

This is the same problem I posted about a while back. Even when using the various mask options or the "compose with alpha" option, it doesn't show transparency properly on PNGs greater than 8bit.
