Converted images not using correct colors

Hi, I've been trying to use XnViewMP to mass convert HEIC files to PNG while keeping the metadata; however there's a a slight color difference between the original and final image. I have the "preserve color profile" box checked but there's still a difference. Using version 1.9.5, any help would be appreciated! Below is a comparison between the original & converted image, showing the difference between them with a difference layer

i think that the difference is how is loading the HEIC, photoshop doesnt use same decoding engine...

ok, I thought i noticed a slight color change but it may just be my imagination
