OS: Windows 11 25H2 64bit
After changing the color labels and ratings of HEIC images, the changes are not reflected in the metadata displayed in Windows File Explorer, though the information is preserved in XnView MP's database. Formats like JPG, PNG, and WEBP are working correctly.
Effect: Cannot edit embedded metadata of HEIC files
To reproduce:
1. Launch XnView MP and select an HEIC file in the browser.
2. Set the HEIC file's color label or rating.
3. (optional) Close XnView MP.
4. Inspect the details of the same HEIC file in Windows file explorer, IrfanView, Photoshop, etc.
5. The file's rating and color entries remain blank.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 with a JPG/PNG/WEBP file.
7. The file's metadata is changed successfully.
8. Launch XnView MP again. The rating and color label of the HEIC file can be viewed in the browser.

I am wondering if I've missed certain configurations that can make it work, or if editing HEIC metadata is not supported yet. Any information is appreciated
