FITS images

I get "file can't be loaded!"(MP) message or "format of the file could not be determined"(Classic) when trying to open FITS images created by DwarfLab smart lelescope. I thought FITS images are supported. Am I missing something?

check 'Show all graphic formats' in Settings>General


ps: it seems that in the FITS world not all images follow the standard consistently, few examples:
