v1.9.10 Image rotation issue recurring
This old problem still occasionally occurs in v1.9.10, Reproduce approximately once every 5 times, as follows:
1) Select a JPG image in the browser.
2) Use the rotate tool to rotate left/right.
3) The image orientation changes.
4) Press Enter to enter full-screen mode, but the orientation remains the same.
5) Exit and press F5 to enter full-screen mode again, but the orientation still doesn't change.
6) Exit and select another image, then reselect the image to rotate and enter full-screen mode for the orientation to change correctly to solve.

"Once every 5 times" means there's another factor.
Check the image rotation (Orientation) flag on the images that misbehave, and those that don't.
Also, what are your Rotation settings in Settings:Browser?

Re: v1.9.10 Image rotation issue recurring
There's an "Auto Rotate" option in the settings. I tried disabling it, but the problem persists, so it's unrelated to that option.
The problem occurs randomly; sometimes it happens when rotating 90 degrees to the right, sometimes to the left. It occurs approximately once every five rotations using different images.

Sorry, but I didn't see where you addressed either of these questions. You're just again saying it's "random".jkm wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 6:24 pm Check the image rotation (Orientation) flag on the images that misbehave, and those that don't.

Under [Settings] > [Browser] > [Misc.], I have two rotation options: [Change EXIF orientation ONLY] and [Use lossless rotation]. The same thing happens whether it's enabled or disabled.jkm wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 5:09 amSorry, but I didn't see where you addressed either of these questions. Ok thanks, that's helpful.
What about the Orientation flag on those images? You can see this on the EXIF tab; there is a line under camera labeled "Orientation".
Looking for a correspondence between that flag and the images that do or do not behave correctly.

I just randomly selected images and rotated them. I checked the EXIF of the problematic images, and the same situation occurred with both the images that displayed Orientation:top-left(1) and those that did not (it should be unrelated).
You can try rotating different images more than 5 times...

The following is a video showing the error in the 7th image rotation. The thumbnail has been rotated correctly, but it is displayed incorrectly in full screen.

Both options were disabled, but the situation still occurred.

Pressing F5 doesn't solve the problem; it only works after you can select other thumbnails.xnview wrote: Wed Feb 18, 2026 3:48 pm ok, i can reproduce. If you wait that preview is updated before pressing ENTER, it works, right?

Ans: Even after waiting a second or two and repeatedly trying to enter full-screen mode, it still doesn't work correctly.
The thumbnail is rotated correctly, but if it takes a while for the full-screen view to display correctly, that's also a problem.

The problem persists even after updating to v1.10.2!
