Thank you for knowing this! For some reason opening XNView in full screen to me looked like it switches resolutions and different screen mode. Then I managed to "fix" this (asking AI assistance for help) - and it is
solved now!
I reinstalled Intel graphics drivers (from my asus motherboard) and then reinstalled Geforce drivers (4090 and system was slow for over a year!). Point is: I've downloaded right click Windows context menu using Microsoft's software called "shexview.exe" (X64) (readme: "ShellExView v2.01, Copyright (c) 2003 - 2019 Nir Sofer, Web Site:
http://www.nirsoft.net" (I downloaded it from Microsoft website!), started it, disabled all Windows10Pro system files and hide one by one (I had to reboot each time, logoff didn't help) and try what app from the context menu was creating this displaying error and found it - it was NVIdia's CPL process (I guess from NVidia application that comes installed with gfx driver)! After removing this - system starts working expectingly fast after reboot!
So - all software (XNview old and new), ShellEx etc. started working finally fast, without changing resolution! So - it was my system fault that I didn`t know it can be fixed this way. Hope this can help someone.
p.s. Thank you for developing XNView software! It is the best one ever including ACDSee-like software I really enjoy using. I hope you will be able to implement "CTRL"+"mouse wheel" up/down to make resizing thumbnails (would be useful for refreshing thumbnails if you want).
