Star Ratings?

Post by RWW53 »

Hi, bit of a long story but!! I normally use Lightroom to import images but as I understand it when you do this changes are made to the files automatically by Adobe whether you want them or not, I use DXO to first denoise images and want to do this before importing into Lightroom so I am trying to use XnView to give my images that I want to keep and import to Lightroom a one star rating but cannot see how after rating I can get all those to only show separately in XnView? Thankyou for any help. Russ.

Welcome to the forums…

If you just want to see 1-star images, there are a couple of ways.

1. Use the filter button on the toolbar, or
2. Use the Catalog Filter pane to select 1 star (and select global or current folder as needed)

If this wasn’t what you meant, the please restate your question more clearly, using actual sentences and punctuation, instead of one long running phrase. You make it hard for the people trying to help you to understand when you write like that.

Lightroom has nondestructive editing, so you can undo or remove (or disable) any automatic processing it performs. You might want to further research your “understanding” there. It depends on how you configure it.

Hopefully this helps…
