RIOT - menu entry and plugin

Post by nji9 »

Using 64 bit version of XnViewMP

When in editor there is a menu entry Tools / RIOT...

When clicking on it... nothing happens.

The menu entry should be grayed (or absent at all, if there is nothing happening).

Moreover no by-the-hand info how to get that plugin.

The Riot plugin (available at: https://riot-optimizer.com/) is an extension for many different image editing programs.
It is designed to simplify the process of saving images, for example, for websites or other purposes. It also allows you to better check compression and quality in advance. It is only compatible with JPEG/PNG/GIF formats. A preview of the image appears, and the target file size is displayed.
In my opinion, XnViewMP already offers an export function that provides the same capabilities. Therefore, the Riot plugin is not strictly necessary or particularly useful.

Thanks for the additional information.

However... something should be done to XnViewMP... as it is now (see above).
