XnView: MP 1.10.5 64 bit
OS: Linux Ubuntu 24.04 64 bit
In Tools/Settings/View/Fullscreen I set the following settings:
Show Toolbar: true
Floating views: false
When in fullscreen, the upper floating view is still displayed when moving the mouse to the top of the screen.
Moving the mouse to the right of the screen does not display a floating view.
When not showing the toolbar, all works fine.
However, when showing the toolbar, one need to be very careful to not move the mouse to far up, because otherwise the toolbar is hidden behind the floating thumbnails.
Please note: this is not related to XnView MP 1.10. This bug is around for quite some time (for me...).
Other settings of View/Fullscreen (just in case):
Auto zoom: Fit image to window, large only
Show playbar: false
Show info: true
Show scrollbars: false
Show toolbar: true
Hide mouse cursor: true
Background color: black
Dual monitor: Use second monitor: false
Floating views: false
To reproduce:
1. In Tools/Settings/View/Fullscreen I set the following settings:
- Show Toolbar: true
- Floating views: false
2. Enter full screen
3. Move mouse to the upper edge of the monitor
Actual behaviour (bug): The floating thumbnails bar is displayed
Expected behaviour: No floating view
Thanks for your great work, by the way.

Re: Floating view unexpectedly displayed in full screen
I completely agree! It's a really annoying bug. The top pop-up panel is annoying—it pops up whenever I want to click on something on the regular panel.
version 1.11.6-still same problem. Windows 11, 25H2 26200.9168
I'm attaching my xnview.ini, but it's useless because I renamed it so xnview would create a new settings file—and the same thing keeps popping up.
I also renamed the folder C:\Users\Raider\AppData\Roaming\XnViewMP so it would create all the new files - no change

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

yeah dude, every fucking timeWhen going to the top, the thumbnail view opens. you can reproduce each time??
with "floating views" setting disabled::: If I disable the "show toolbar" setting, both the toolbar and the top thumbnail panel are disabled. And if I enable "show toolbar," the top thumbnail panel appears on top of the toolbar.
btw its not fault of my "startAllBack" software-i turned it off and stll no changes
