Provide a secondary info panel?
Hello is there possibility to add secondary info panel because my main info panel grown up in side dramatically and most of the time i only need values that show in blue color on screenshot, but occasionally i need also full values so i cant shorten the original info panel.
Would be ideal if there was secondary a info panel available that i can place on the right side of the screen same exact logic just separate info panel that grows in size as i add more values.

Hi,
Yes you can have your personal information panel.
You can configure it in settings/view/info

That's actually the info panel i configured on the left on screenshot, but as you see it is using all vertical space could benefit from secondary info panel where i can put only few fields.Franky wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2026 7:48 amYes you can have your personal information panel.

Re: Provide a secondary info panel?
If I understood correctly, you have already created your left panel with all the information and you want a second one with less information.
I don't think you can create two sections of information.

Re: Provide a secondary info panel?
use table + stretch horizontally + opacity 0
Code: Select all
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
<tr>
<!-- Left column -->
<td width="200" style="background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.3);">
Left content here
</td>
<!-- Spacer -->
<td> </td>
<!-- Right column -->
<td width="200" style="background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.3);">
Right content here
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Re: Provide a secondary info panel?
That's why i asked for it as new feature request
ideally i have big table hidden almost always and only show small table all the time, then enable big table occasionally with hotkey

Re: Provide a secondary info panel?
I think best practical solution for this would be to allow multiple info panels to be shown.
In Tools > Settings View > Info allow to define 9 independent info panels.
Then allow to assign placement of each panel in pre-defined 9-grid positions on the screen
To open each info pannel allow to define hotkeys e.g.
Note its just coincidence that there's 9 panels and 9 placement locations, this options intended to work independently from each other.
I tested many html elements with width 100% generated by ChatGPT and none of them stretch 100% only way to set manually width of the XnViewMP window, but then if window resized table has to be re-adjusted.

- Alt+Shift+1 - 1st info panel
- Alt+Shift+2 - 2nd info panel
- Alt+Shift+3 - 3rd info panel
- Alt+Shift+4 - 4th info panel
- Alt+Shift+5 - 5th info panel
- Alt+Shift+6 - 6th info panel
- Alt+Shift+7 - 7th info panel
- Alt+Shift+8 - 8th info panel
- Alt+Shift+9 - 9th info panel
- Alt+Shift+0 - show/hide all info panels at once.

Tried that approach and it does not work, cant stretch width=100%user0 wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 4:38 pm use table + stretch horizontally + opacity 0Code: Select all

It works, just press toggle Info overlay after resizing window.FKCapitalism2 wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 7:46 am Tried that approach and it does not work, cant stretch width=100%

It would be handy if 'Stretch horizontally' updated table size immediately while window is being resized, but it's not a big deal to press I twice.

Tested on fresh portable version. If works for you on Windows 10 send your xnview.ini

Re: Provide a secondary info panel?
1. add html table
2. check 'Stretch horizontally' checkbox
3. set 'Opacity' to 0
ps. to remove vertical margins, minify html by removing spaces and line breaks, but you probably already know that.

Re: Provide a secondary info panel?
Wish you mentioned it earlier, that does work.
Any way to set table height 100% as well?
Right now when i open image full screen it shows properly with height specified like 800px however when i press F11 to go real full screen without menus then table shows at 800px mark still somewhere in middle of photo

Re: Provide a secondary info panel?
Height 100% is not supported even in HTML as far as i know maybe for DIV but i doubt that also, there are some workarounds to make it work, but might be too much to implement in XnViewMP simplified HTML processor.
Never mind i forgot position can be specified, i had mine bottom-left, changed to top-left now it works as intended.user0 wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 7:59 pmshow your codeFKCapitalism2 wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 7:08 pm Right now when i open image full screen it shows properly with height specified like 800px however when i press F11 to go real full screen without menus then table shows at 800px mark still somewhere in middle of photo
