Linux tools like Spectacle allows to click blur(diffuse) and pixelate buttons, then you click your mouse left button on a image to draw a rectangle. Then release the mouse left button and the area will be adjusted (blurred or pixelated), as seen on the image (first is blur, below is pixelation):
This is more handy than using XnView rectangle button, where you have to often check that you are using right colors and that fill of the area is enabled (not just contour).
Drawing window seems to have plenty of space to add such button/s.
