Zoom position lost

Post by FKCapitalism2 »

Open image full sceen
select fit image to window
position mouse cursor in middle of the image
click and hold left mouse button to zoom it 100%

Notice you can use mouse (while holding LMB) to pan around

now while holding LMB press + button on keyboard to zoom in two or three times.

Now try to pan with mouse again and panning jumps off the position you were and goes into upper right corner of image.

you have to mention that you changed default settings,
mouse 'no modifier' from 'make selection' to 'zoom & pan'

yep, it should work the same way as in FastStone or Lightroom
zoom in/out commands must be disabled when 'Zoom & pan' mode is active as it make no sense

Sense is if i want to Zoom & Pan some spot it originally gives 100% magnification as default starting point for zoom.
Now if need to add more zoom ore remove zoom its good that XnViewMP allows me to do so.
But at the same time need working ability to pan.

Other image viewers and how they build their functionality is out of scope of my interest.
