I saw one very briefly recently, not sure which one, so I can't comment at present.
Would transfer be entirely, or at least mainly, transparent for users? No need to register again, more or less everything transferred?
In my experience posting on or viewing a fair number of forums phpBB is very widely used, but if there are good reasons for changing and everything is thought through carefully it might well be worthwhile.
One detailed consideration for admins and moderators would be whether it will be possible to limit signatures in profiles and posts to authorised users, to prevent inappropriate use of signatures while still allowing appropriate use. That would be very helpful.
