XnView MP (Windows + Linux) 1.11.4 beta 2 for Qt6

Post by KB9 »

Beta seems fluid but video crashing is still there. Is it because of NAS/External storage/Encrypted partitions? XnViewMP perhaps should read video files in advance not just if next - if the setting is selected? I don't know.

Crash on Windows? QT6 version doesn't use same video engine

viewing too. I only got crash by viewing on the beta. went back to stable. with stable viewing too and sometimes when moving a bunch of files in the browser to other folder/location - many images and videos selected, grab, drag with mouse to another location. never actually when moving copy/cut/move/paste context entries, only when dragging. I think so.

With beta, in browser you have always a crash when clicking on a .mp4?

no not always. in stable screen many times starts to flicker and I can still click another file, folder or close the app but in beta it just crashed when I viewed several videos in a row, clicking seekbar often. so I decided to go back stable.

In browser-preview. I don't does it happen to certain video files only. My thoughts were that in random, but I don't know.

Bonjour,

Cette version semble très prometteuse et rapide!
Merci beaucoup pour votre travail.

Avez-vous une idée de la date de publication de la version définitive?

Maybe I will try next beta but 1.11.5 is quite solid and robust! Video crashing seems to be completely gone! Congratulations!
