1.11.2: saturated white renders as yellow

OS: Windows

Images of different kinds and from any source with bright white in them show normally in the browser thumbnails and in every single other image viewer I have, but render some kind of binary clipping to yellow in the viewer:

I'm no color science expert nor pro digital photographer so I don't really know where to look for this. My color management settings are default afaik and look ok:

The only thing I've found that affects the bug is changing the DCT to fast integer, which reduces the problem but doesn't eliminate it, but strangely the issue also occurs on PNGs and not only JPGs:

To reproduce:
1. browse to the folder
2. open the image in the large viewer

Actual behaviour (bug): bright white becomes yellow

Expected behaviour: white stays white

That did it, thanks. I just installed xnviewmp, does it make sense for clipping to be enabled by default (apparently) if it has this kind of effect on most images?

it is disabled by default
however, its state persists after restarting the app, which I'm not particularly happy about either

I must have accidentally typed j somewhere after a textbox lost focus then, my bad. Thanks for the help. Maybe an entry "Clipping (J)" belongs in the View menu for people to find? I don't see it anywhere in the menus nor does searching "clip" in the settings yield anything.
