Hi all!
I'm new to XnView MP. I have a question about adjusting photos in the application. When I load a photo and go to the "Image" in the toolbar and then go to "Adjust". I tried to do some adjustment, but it seems not to do anything to the photo, nothing will be changed. The photo is in the DNG format, is this because I not can do any changes with it? Please help!

Pierre, correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it, XnView MP can display and convert raw files, but it cannot develop them.
See here or here for example.
So, yes (unless I'm wrong!), you can look at your DNG files in XnView MP, but you can't develop (apply contrast, saturation, sharpening, etc. etc.) them in it as you can with Lightroom, RawTherapee or the like.
EDIT: Ignore all this. I was wrong!

What type of photo are you trying to edit? JPEG, raw or something else?
When you click Adjust you should see a new window titled Enhance colours. Adjustments made to the sliders only become visible when you tick the Apply to image checkbox or click the Ok button.

Sample DNG files can be downloaded from https://filesamples.com/formats/dng.
A downloaded example DNG file opens and can then be edited, however saving to DNG format seems currently to not be supported in XnView MP.dave80 wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2026 3:29 pmWhen you click Adjust you should see a new window titled Enhance colours. Sorry cday, I did not notice DNG in the thread title. I either need new reading glasses or a new brain

I recently inserted it in the post title, as post titles are important when searching the forum, but it had been mentioned somewhere in the thread...dave80 wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2026 5:44 pm Sorry cday, I did not notice DNG in the thread title. I either need new reading glasses or a new brain![]()
