1.11.5: Shift+click multi-selection starts from wrong image after exiting fullscreen mode

Post by memo_user »

XnView: MP 1.11.5 - 64 bit
OS: Windows - 64bit

When exiting fullscreen mode and returning to browser mode, attempting to multi-select images using Shift+click creates a selection range from the originally double-clicked image instead of the currently selected image.

Effect: Incorrect image range selection; users cannot easily select contiguous images starting from their intended starting point after viewing in fullscreen mode.

To reproduce:
1. In browser mode, double-click an image (note this image as "first selected image")
2. Fullscreen mode opens; navigate through several images
3. Exit fullscreen mode by pressing Enter or double-clicking (the last viewed image is now selected in browser mode - this is correct)
4. While holding Shift, click on another image further down the list to select a range

Actual behaviour (bug): The selection range starts from the "first selected image" (the one you originally double-clicked) instead of the "current selected image" (the one selected when you exited fullscreen).

Expected behaviour: The selection range should start from the "current selected image" and extend to the image you Shift+clicked.

I could reproduce.

Selection bug also occurs if the fullscreen viewer is exited with ESC in step 3.
