XnViewMP opens option box in Win 11

I just installed XnViewMP 1.11.5.0 on a Windows 11 PC and when I open XnViewMP, a window flickers by (very fast; I cannot see what it is), and a box with the following options open in a different monitor: Audio, Drawings, Icons, Photographs, Pictures, Videos.

Can someone explain what is going on and how to get around it?

Try this:

1. Close app
2. Rename your xnview.ini file to xnview.old
3. Restart app.

If the problem persists, try rebooting. If it still persists, provide a screenshot.

The above did not work. So, screenshot shows what opened in a second monitor after I dragged the bottom line down (only the top part showed initially). Hope it makes sense.

That is just a portion of the main XnViewMP window. Something is repositioning it, resizing it, and moving it to the second monitor.

If you delete/rename the xnview.ini file, when next launched it should display a small configuration dialog, and when you OK that, the main window should appear at a reasonable size.

If you don't get the "Startup Wizard" dialog after first launch after deleting/renaming the xnview.ini file, you acted on the wrong file; so you could have more than one copy of xnview.ini on your system. (It could be in c:\users\%username%\appdata\roaming\xnviewmp, the folder where you installed the app, or elsewhere depending on what you selected when you installed. If you're unsure, then find them all by searching your drives.) Again, the way you know for sure you got the right one is if the startup wizard dialog appears on first launch.

Beyond that, you can try the windows shortcut keys, like Windows+Left Arrow to resize or snap the window.

Please post screenshots as jpegs, not PDF. A lot of people won't open your PDF because of the potential for viruses.

Thanks. When you made clear that what was shown was the main windows reduced, I simply dragged it larger, dragged it over to the monotor where I wanted it, and closed the window. When I opened XnViewMP next, it opened correctly in the correct monitor.
