Re: v50 - Adjustments
Tested, compared with other apps, including XnConvert.
Generally speaking I like the undo/redo arrows as well as the "Compare vs original" button. I understand this button is equivalent to the Reset on top. It inhibits all the adjustments for an instant comparison but keeps their settings while the Reset just reset all values. That's a true differentiator.
The Undo/Redo arrows are still active after a Reset, I mean it cancels the Reset just pressed and allows to get back to the changes made step by step.
Can it be possible to sync the Undo/Redo arrows with a focus on the adjustment in question ? (Pierre, no urgency, keep the idea for v9.0
)
Maybe a button to reset the adjustment can be useful as it’s sometimes difficult to move the cursor to zero. Positioned near the arrows?
Last suggestion for me, would it be possible to visualise the effect of the changes in the curve (last adjustment topic on the right) ? Note, this wouldn't no have any meaning for Vignetting for example, I'm even unsure it is meaningful at all but I like the idea to be able to refine the curve after having made some adjustments on light, shadows,... Again this idea can be kept for v9.999.

Re: v50 - Adjustments
Comments on each adjustments :
Exposure: It seems applying mostly on high lights (saturation . On a sub-exposed picture it has a very light action. I'm very surprised by the cursor and it’s action on some picture when just moving +1 or -1
High lights: Same remark as for Exposure re the cursor positioned in the middle. Also, this parameter reduce light (even at +100) and act uniformly (high luminosity and low luminosity areas of the picture)
Shadow: (shouldn't it be equivalent to Gamma?). Same effect, same remark as per High lights
Saturation Ok
Vibrance I don't know what's expected. If it's highlighting areas with specific colour (red ?) It looks ok.
Heat Ok
Tone Ok
Vignetting The cursor at +1 decrease the whole luminosity. At 100 the center of the image is still affected while we expect the change apply progressively from the borders to the center, leaving it unchanged
Black and White Looks like the opposite of Saturation from 0 to -100 (grey scale). Shouldn't be something like reducing the number of colors from n to 2 ?
Sepia Ok
Curve ~Ok but the graph hyde a big part of the image can this be changed to reduce the image so it can be 100% visible or to a movable window? And, strange is when switching from XnView to this page and back, the image changed completely. Pressing the "Show original" button restored the initial view (see attached screenshots)

Re: v50
Tested,
In French version you renamed this feature "Editer" in place of "Ajuster". Edit let me think of drawing whereas Adjust is more like corrections, modify, improve. Depending on what's going on, if you think of adding drawing tools in the future.
We’ve got a reset button for the adjustment in focus, It helps, thks. But then we’ve lost the undo/redo arrows. Is it possible to restore them ? If it’s a matter of space in the design, can the reset be done by pressing the number (common practice)?
A Gamma adjustment was added. I thought Gamma == Shadow and it doesn't look so different in action. Do we need both ?
Generally speaking, some adjustments do not offer an appropriate range. Cursor positioned at the middle we get the original but this is artificial. Moving +1/-1 change the image drastically. And, it’s hard to find a position of the cursor where the image is close to the original, allowing a light change.
- Luminosity ~ok at +32
- Hight lights is less luminous than the original, even at +100.
Some adjustents looks duplicate and others influence light more than expected. I compare with the adjustment on XnView PC and can't retrieve the same.
Still:

The changes made on various adjustments are visible in the graph bars, that's fine.visualise the effect of the changes in the curve
That's fine. We can now see the picture, whatever the format.the image can be 100% visible

'Edit' will be enhanced in a future version. I think to add Crop/Filter/Watermark/...B.Douille wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2026 10:33 pm In French version you renamed this feature "Editer" in place of "Ajuster". Please tell me how do you want to use undo/redo?

you can always reproduce after switching to another app, and you change only curves?Still:strange is when switching from XnView (Curve adjustment) to this page (any other application) and back, the image changed completely. Re: v50
FYI I just loaded v53 because I found metadata were lost during saving

Exposure is one. Just live the cursor to +1 and the image becomes darker. If you save the image and compare to the original, the modified copy is darker.which ones are very different when moving -1/+1?

Re: v50
Here they are https://www.grosfichiers.com/c3dkuXJbXyXPlease send original file used and output for gamma (+1) & vignette (+1)
I made the tests with v53. All modified copies looks a bit less brilliant than the original while the cursors was at +1.
Files are zipped to avoid the pb with loosing some metadata (GPS) when sent via Android.
I joined also 2 videos showing
- the behavioral of the cursor for Exposure in the middle and how it becomes "normal" when screen recording is active. It’s an example with Exposure but it's the same for others. Is it limited to recent Samsung devices ?
- the behavioral of the curve when switching from one app to the other.andyou can always reproduce after switching to another app, and you change only curves?
