Metadata - Manage template without selecting an image

Hello,

In the current version, it's only possible to edit IPTC or XMP when a photo is selected.

Would it be possible to be able to access some Metadata template management without selecting an image?
or enable the IPTC or XMP from the browser without needing an image to be selected ?
