1) Is there way to make the catalog, or database, have all metadata including ExifTool for only one folder and its subfolders and not index all other files on the computer? I don't mind if it lists files and folders in the tree and main pane but it's going to make maybe 6 or 10 hours with RAM at 80% to crawl through every one of the hundreds of thousands of files on the computer when I only need my one Photos folder indexed.

2) Why is Settings > Catalog > Maintenance showing three folders and some but not all of their subfolders that have images, and nothing else?
For example my computer has:
C:\a\[many child folders]
C:\b\[many child folders]
C:\c\[many child folders]
C:\d\[many child folders]
C:\e\[many child folders]
C:\f\[many child folders]
C:\g\[many child folders]
but Settings > Catalog > Maintenance only lists:
C:\b\[some but not all child folders]
C:\e\[some but not all child folders]
C:\g\[some but not all child folders]
and the only folder for which I'm using XNView is C:\e\ No other folder has anything relevent to XNView.
How to catalog only one folder and ignore all others?
