Batch resizing for a weekly photo challenge (and a question about members)

Post by GarethLow86 »

Not really a support question, more of a thank you and a question for people who run photo groups.

I help run a small online photo club, about 150 people. Every week we pick a theme and members post their shots. XnConvert does all the boring part for us: one action list that resizes to 2048 px, strips the EXIF location and adds a small watermark. It saves me about an hour every Sunday.

The other thing we struggled with was knowing who actually brought new people in. A few members invite friends all the time and help them with their first edits, and we wanted to thank them. The basic join counts were useless, because people who joined, looked at one gallery and left counted the same as everyone else.

We now use an invite tracker that ignores quick leavers, and the numbers finally match who really sticks around and posts photos.

Do other clubs here track this kind of thing, or do you just go by feel?
