Wish: Script after Acquire into...

Post by crazytb »

I would like to have scripting capabilities at "Acquire into...". I would like to have same functionality of batch convert.

My problem is:
  • I need to scan a lot of sheets.
  • I want to scan them in color.
  • The scanner returns to XnView a true color image.
  • I don't need true color, so I want to apply Posterize and them convert to 256 colors, before saving as PNG.
I know that I can save all in true color, and then convert them, but this way I will be wasting time and temporary disk space. It would be much more useful if "Convert Script" is available in "Acquire into...".

Thanks.

I don't think this is intuitive. I think a button "process image", which will open script editing window and/or open a script from file, will be much better. This button should be inside dialogs "Acquire into" and "Multi capture".
