Win Explorer Thumbnail View

Post by 222fbj »

When I use Explorer (on XP) to browse folders....I had been using the View Thumbnails options to see a preview of image files. Now I see a large XnView icon.

I did have the XnView shell installed..but have removed it to try and fix this.

I'd like to see the image previews....I'm not sure if this is an XnView issue or an Explorer config issue. If someone could tell me how to restore the Explorer Image preview that would help.

Thanks

Thank You... I went to Ramesh's site which said to run the command below....I did and the thumbnails are back.
Rahmesh's site: Windows XP Troubleshooting

* Generic icon is displayed for a picture file when in Thumbnail view

RUN regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
Thanks again!

I even checked the picture property the first time I encountered it (ok: I was tired... :|) to see why the image was not loading properly!!!
