Animated Gifs

i searched and found a few posts on this but they are a bit stale and thought things may have changed.

is there a way to create animated gifs with this? i'm using QuickMacros to create the frames in an automted way but i would rather automate the whole process rather than using unfreeze (which is really good btw).
