I like the simple crop feature, but can't figure out how to move a selection (e.g. I want to cut and paste two images together). I know that XnView is more of a viewer, but was curious if this feature could be implemented easily.
Thanks,

Ability to move selections

You have !

- This exists already ! Just select an area, place the cursor inside the selection : it becomes an arrowheaded cross.
- Press the left-mouse button and keep it pressed : you can move the selection anywhere on the picture !

Re: You have !
An addition to Clo's correct answer:
There's an option to choose whether left mouse button is zooming or left mouse button is moving selection. The option can be found in Tools > Options > View > Keyboard/Mouse > Left button use in selection.
Ctrl + left mouse button will make the "other" functionality available (zooming in / moving selection).

Re: You have !
I appreciate the info, but I didn't make myself clear. The arrowhead cross moves the box around, but it doesn't actually move the contents of the box. I'd like to do the latter.helmut wrote:The option can be found in Tools > Options > View > Keyboard/Mouse > Left button use in selection.

Not in the design...

- We hope still for some retouch capabilities, and not sure to get them soon…
- Hence, that you wish goes much further, and I don't think it should be added yet…
