Multipage FileMagic images not in order

I have several images that were stored using the FileMagic software application. These images are viewable using XnView, but often the images are displayed out of sequence within the file. For instance, the document pages are displayed as 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 1.

There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to this. There are many multipage images that are viewable in the correct order, but every now and then one appears with pages out of sequence.

Is it possible that if an image was "rescanned" or modified that FileMagic put them at the end of the file? If so, there must be a header or tag somewhere in the file that tells the proper sequence. These images were routinely used on our old system and were never displayed out of sequence.

I would appreciate any assistance you could provide.
