Hotkeys to open with various programs...

Post by TsunamiZ »

Please allow hotkeys to open images with various programs. So each preset program can have a hotkey assigned to it in the right click menu. This way users don't always have to go find the program in the right click menu to open. Thanks.

Thanks. But does the key assignments change when new programs are added to the list? Would be nice to have non-changing shortcuts.

So how can I tell which shortcut is for which program without testing them out?

I think you have to remove all programs and add them again as you want.

I suggest to add shortcuts next to program in context menu, most users don't even know about them...

E.g.:

PhotoFiltre ... Alt+1
GIMP ............ Alt+2
...

Yes that would be great and save you some tech support work. :D

And I would suggest programs that get added are put below existing ones. So the Hotkeys don't change.

So another item in context menu...

Add Program...
Add Program without shortcut...

:) Hello !

• We can say even that is a :bug: !

- I just tested adding a programme to open *.ico, and the newest added one is at the top of the sub-menu, like TsunamiZ says.
- Indeed, the shortcuts follow that faulty order… :|

Workaround - open xnview.ini and change it.

I guess you have to create new lines, or add programs in xnview, then just change it in .ini.
