Cannot scan and save file as TIFF-multipage

Hi.
I use german version of Xnview 1.82.4
If i try to acquire and save file as TIFF-multipage - File->Acquire to...->Save as multipage checked! - (i use scanner "HP PSC 1600 series"), my HP-scan-programm get closed after first scan!
If i try to scan next image in thesame TIFF-file with thesame multipage-option, the first image will be replaced. So, i can't scan and create multipage TIFF-file with XnView!
If i do something wrong, tell me please, how right
