My Image Format

Hello everybody!!
I'm working on datas compression and I need to use jasper so as to encode my datas from simple table of datas to jpeg2000. The problem with Jasper is that he works with pre-defined format and I'd like to define my own one which is far more simple than a jpeg or bmp one.
In fact i'd like to have my tables of datas in input and jpeg or jpeg2000 in output: How(Where) can I define that?
Oups , I forgot to precise that I work on a unix plateform and that the jasper version is on c language.
