Yes, I'm using a 3rd party theme. The classic themes are too flat and bland for my tastes, and the measely 3 themes M$ provides are butt-ugly.
However, I don't consider the menu location to be a problem, but rather a benefit. With it going upward, it occupies the same screenspace as the file list (which you don't need to see while choosing the format) instead of wasting screenspace by hanging way below the dialog.

Sounds normal. It will go upwards when there isn't enough room for list at bottom of screen. Win2k can do the same thing, but with only 10 lines, it may never be seen.Drahken wrote:XP home SP2, 800x600, 30 types shown at a time. Strangely, while the other screens posted have had the list appear below the initial line, mine appears above it.
I never upgraded beyond IE 5.0, perhaps this explains 10 vs. 30 vs. 4Troken wrote:Hey guys, don't sweat blood over this, it aint a big deal!
I don't know which windows component manages dropdown lists, but maybe there is a version which should be avoided (if that is the problem).

Better sorting…
—> marsh
Hi B. !
• IE manages thingies else than the pure Web navigation…
- For instance, the sorting of the files in the file-lists !
With IE 6.x… and newer you get a much better sorting in all programmes which use a tree or so.
• Do you remember this message and the next one ? There are links to other issues too about the same topic…
- So, why not attempt an upgrade ?

I liked 10 items more.
Upgrading to IE6 didn't change anything on Win2k. I also tried XP: 30 there...Clo wrote: - So, why not attempt an upgrade ?![]()

No, no, no. This is the default behavior on this comp. Even if the box is at the very top of the screen, if goes up until it hits the top and only goes down if there isn't enough room above.Sounds normal. Quite possible. Many people don't realize this (largely because of the sheer stupidity of the concept), but the version of IE you have doesn't just affect webbrowsing, it affects accessing your folders and files as well. I had to reinstall windows on my old 98 machine on multiple occaisions, and always had to update to IE 5.5 afterward because folders wouldn't behave properly using IE 5.0. (I don't remember for certain, but I think the 2 main problems were that it didn't remember how I wanted it to organize files in the folder, and that it kept crashing.)I never upgraded beyond IE 5.0, perhaps this explains 10 vs. 30 vs. 4
