How to know the quality of imagem?

There are a way to know the quality of the picture in relation of the size it will be print?

It´s possible to give the size of the picture and the XnView inform if the quality of the file comparing with the exif information?

Ex. I´d like to print 10x15cm and the picture is minor than 1 megapixel, than the quality will be poor.

If you know the DPI, you can have the minimum size in pixels of your picture for a good quality...
