A: Folder Images not rendered
I have tried both folder image settings (Options->Thumbnail->Show 4 thumbnails in folder...) but 1.90 Alpha does not render any images to any folder thumbs under any circumstance.

Pierre.
Same bug

• Same than Nelson here under Win XP-Pro SP1.
The settings are OK, but not any thumbnail except a standard "folder"one.
{ Aside : How could we propose improvements while we can't try new fonctions because they are pretty buggy ? I do not wish to get again all bugs in a "beta1" ! As far as I saw as a tester here and elsewhere for a long while, an Alpha is to report the biggest bugs and to allow urgent fixes ! Pierre can't discover all bugs (with all OSs) by himself, alone… }

Yes, the alpha should work to some extent and allow to test and discuss new functionality.Clo wrote:...

What we have here is a bug report - "Images on thumbnails" has been introduced in XnView 1.82. The alpha is for discussing new features, not for bug hunting.
It works in Alpha2.xnview wrote:For thumbnailsckit wrote:Make sure "Browser -> File List -> Items Displayed -> Folders" is ALL checked.
"Browser -> File List -> Items Displayed -> Folders" should be checked for "Show as thumbnail".
But there is one minor problem.
Some portraits display as landscapes in folder's thumbnail.
(Some, not every.)
