XnView caches thumbnails, so I think that the tab "Cache" should go to category "Thumbnail" (currently it is located in category "File list").
Re: Options: Location of "Cache"
And, "Open Action" could be moved to that position (browser>file list>tab #3- next to items displayed), instead of under keyboard/mouse.helmut wrote:XnView caches thumbnails, so I think that the tab "Cache" should go to category "Thumbnail" (currently it is located in category "File list").

I agree with you.helmut wrote:XnView caches thumbnails, so I think that the tab "Cache" should go to category "Thumbnail" (currently it is located in category "File list").

Besides, after I click the "Optimize" button, is it possible to popup a dialog to tell users how much size is saved ?
Re: Options: Location of "Cache"
The cache DB is also used for data of 'Detailled' modes and will probably be used in the future for Categories, Ratings, Metadata, etc... but you're right: 'Cache' under 'Thumbnail' makes sense today. Check also those comments.helmut wrote:XnView caches thumbnails, so I think that the tab "Cache" should go to category "Thumbnail"
The goal is still to create a single Keyboard/Mouse operations manager to handle all Actions (user's settings). The current 'Open Action' was moved there for transition...marsh wrote:"Open Action" could be moved to that position (browser>file list>tab #3- next to items displayed), instead of under keyboard/mouse.

I disagree. There are not any keyboard/mouse customizations for 'Open action'.Olivier_G wrote:The goal is still to create a single Keyboard/Mouse operations manager to handle all Actions (user's settings). Well...marsh wrote:I disagree. There are not any keyboard/mouse customizations for 'Open action'.
In a final Keyboard/Mouse Manager, you would rather be able to associate "Open fullscreen", "Open windowed", "Open in default program", etc... to keys/mouse directly. It would be much more flexible and accurate than just defining a single "Open" behaviour.
