Support for XMP

Hi again

Will you add some support for reading XMP metadata from files? It would have been great to at least be able to get the whole XMP block from the file so that I can process the XML data in my application.

Do you know approximately when we could see the first version with XMP?

Do you have any particular plans for XMP support? From my point of view, all I would need is to be able to get the whole XMP part (XML) as a string.
